But I’ve always been a bit wary when a product is so cheap, and it’s competing against well known brands such as Philips and Panasonic. Never the less, I was in need of a new ear and nose hair trimmer so I gave the MANGROOMER a shot. Here’s what I honestly think about this product, and whether I’d recommend it to you:
First of all: it works. That’s a good start in that it actually does what it is designed to do. And very well I might add. I can’t stand it when a trimmer doesn’t quite trim as low as you want, leaving a short stubble behind. That kind of defeats the object, right? Unfortunately, a lot of the later models by some of the top brands have actually introduced a “safer” cutting system, which in turn doesn’t cut very well! With the MANGROOMER, I was pleased to experience I level of trimming that I was happy with. It cuts, not pulls.
Despite the relatively low price for this trimmer, I was also pleasantly surprised by the power of the motor. It’s not as pathetic as you might expect! That and the level of battery life left me very impressed. With a trimmer like this, that’s ultimately what you want: a good motor and cutting system that gives a good trim, and an impressive battery life. It’s also worth noting how cool this device looks. This is only an issue considering how ugly and large some other models seem to be!
I also like the fact that you can use this trimmer wet or dry. This just gives you a bit more confidence knowing that it isn’t going to break down on you if it gets a little wet like some of the other models seem to do.
On the flip side, the build quality of the MANGROOMER isn’t perfect. I’d say it’s better than you’d expect for the price, but you wouldn’t want to drop it accidentally (a number of times anyway.)
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a hair and nose trimmer for a very good price that does what it says it does, then I’d definitely recommend the MANGROOMER. While there are models out there consisting of higher quality, they’re also considerably more expensive. A lot of the time you find yourself paying for features that you don’t really need on a ear and nose hair trimmer! As long as you don’t go throwing this trimmer around then I feel it would last as long as any model. Ultimately, the MANROOMER does what it was designed to do, and it does it well. An absolute steal at such a low price.
